Peak hour flight with Qantas to Sydney, what’s to expect?
Last October I flew to Sydney for holiday with Qantas, an airline that I have always been dream of to fly. However, my first impression wasn’t that great. Initially, I booked a flight that departed at 7:30am and it would be operated by an Airbus 330, which I had aimed for a very long time. Less than 24h before departure, I received an email telling me that my flight cancelled, which made me a little bit frustrated. At that time, I just thought ‘Ahh, next time A330. An hour later, Qantas sent me a link to re-book my flight with plenty of options and I could depart at any time I like during that day, which was impressive. When flying during peak hours of the day, the price is much more expensive than early morning or afternoon so it was a fine gift that I could fly later at 10am on a 737-800, which was good.
Flying with me was an old- interior Boeing 737-800. I was seated in the middle and the flight was fully-booked so I didn’t have any space to take much photos. However, the seat was good, legroom was fine for an hour flight. The seat also had a headrest, large seat pocket and USB-port to charge the phone, which was great.
Seat pocket items
Nothing to expect from the seat pocket. But the most interesting part of this flight was the free-usage of wifi. I could access to anything I like such as surfing Facebook, Instagram, tracking the flight with Flightradar 24 or enjoy the wireless entertainment system. 20 minutes after take-off, morning snack was served. The crew gave every passenger a bottle of drink and a cupcake. Other beverages such as tea and coffee was served on request.
Mid-flight snack
I expected nothing from this flight but the cake tasted so good . For the rest of the flight, I spent my time on watching movies with Qantas Entertainment App. For these flights or short flight like this one ( Melbourne- Sydney), there is nothing to expect except the wifi speed.
That’s my first experience with Qantas, What’s your? Leave them in the comment section.
